MONTESSORI ASPECT "Montessori Aspect" (MA) is the before and after school child care program for students ages 2 1/2 to 12 years old enrolled at the Franciscan Montessori Earth School. The children are grouped similarly to the class environments: 2 1/2 to 6 years old; 6 to 9 years old; and, 9 to 12 years old. During the academic year, Montessori Aspect is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a reserved space basis only. The 2008-2009 cost for Montessori Aspect is $5.00 per hour up to a maximum of $75 per week. Non school days, scheduled beforehand are $5.00 per hour up to $30.00 per day. Montessori Aspect provides a safe, nurturing environment where children interact in a family-like setting. While the structure and ground rules track with those followed in the Earth School Classroom, Montessori Aspect stresses unstructured play through games and outdoor activities.
